Apple’s next-generation Apple TV 4K picked up its first discount before release, with Amazon listing pre-orders at $289.99 against a $300 regular price, according to deal tracking published on October 16, 2026. The new Siri Remote, sold separately for people upgrading an existing box, is listed at $59.
Why this is notable
Apple hardware rarely discounts before launch, and the Apple TV line specifically has moved in the opposite direction this year. Apple raised the Apple TV 4K from roughly $130 to about $200 in June 2026, a change widely attributed to memory costs. Seeing a pre-order discount at all is therefore unusual, and the $10 saving is small enough that it is better read as a signal than as a bargain.
The more practical detail is availability. Amazon is reported to be able to deliver on launch day, November 13, while Apple’s own delivery estimates have slipped for some configurations of the new HomeView smart display — with delivery times pushing toward December and at least one colour sold out at Amazon. If timing matters more than price, that difference is worth more than the $10.
What else is discounted
- AirPods Pro 3 reported at $199, down from $249.
- AirPods Max 2 reported at $449, down from $549.
- 14-inch M5 Pro MacBook Pro with 24GB RAM and a 1TB SSD reported at $2,069.10, against a $2,499 list price.
- Apple HomeView reported at $289 in Space Gray and Rose Pink, against $299.
Caveats
These prices come from a deal tracker, not from the retailer’s own listing verified for this article, and pre-order discounts in particular can be withdrawn or change with stock. The MacBook Pro price has appeared and disappeared repeatedly in recent weeks according to the same tracker. Verify the current price on the listing page before ordering, and confirm the model — Apple’s laptop line has several configurations close enough in price that a mistaken click is easy.
