US Spot Bitcoin ETFs Post $381.5 Million Outflow Day After Record IBIT Inflow

US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded aggregate net outflows of $381.5 million on October 22, 2026, according to flow trackers citing Farside data. That ended a three-session inflow streak that brought in about $1.07 billion between October 19 and 21.

The reversal came a day after BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) posted $665.16 million in net inflows on Monday, October 19, 2026, which The Block reported as its largest single-day net inflow in a year. IBIT ended with $66.37 billion in net assets, the largest US spot bitcoin ETF.

    Which funds moved

On October 22, Fidelity’s FBTC posted the largest outflow at $217.5 million, and ARK 21Shares’ ARKB lost $109.4 million. The single-day reversal is a reminder that aggregate figures can swing on one or two large funds rather than reflecting broad-based selling across the whole group.

Month-to-date flows stood at +$74.3 million and year-to-date at +$15.5 million, with all-time flows at +$54.79 billion. Those cumulative numbers put one bad day in perspective, but they do not make the day itself less real.

    Why the numbers move

ETF flow data measures institutional share creations and redemptions, not retail demand. It is not a direct read on what individual investors are doing, and it is not a recommendation to buy or sell any crypto asset. Daily figures can also be revised after every issuer reports, so the most recent day may be provisional.

Be careful about the aggregate figure itself: trackers derived from Farside put the October 22 outflow at $381.5 million, while CryptoTimes cited $635.6 million for the same day. Both are reporting the same market through different aggregation and cut-off times, and neither is the final word.

For the price side of the same session, our report on Bitcoin’s fall to $81.3K covers what the broader market did while these flows were happening.

    Risk note

Five days of outflows followed by one day of inflows, then a $381.5 million outflow day, is not a trend in either direction. Crypto markets remain highly volatile, and nothing here is investment advice.

    What we did not do

We did not verify the flow figures against fund filings or a second data provider, and we have flagged the discrepancy between the two reported aggregates. All numbers are as of October 22, 2026 and may be revised.
