Netflix Partners With Bengali Streamer hoichoi on 14 Titles

Netflix and hoichoi, the Bengali-first streaming platform and content studio, announced a partnership on October 22, 2026 to bring acclaimed series, new premieres, adaptations and original stories to audiences across India.

All hoichoi series premiering over the next two years will come to Netflix in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Fourteen curated hoichoi titles will be featured, including Madam Inspector, Sampurna, Lajja, Eken Sirji, Anjaan Saaye, The Curse of Parnashavari, Bloodlines and Queens.

    What is launching first

The first new release under the deal is The Cursed Temple of Kauriburi, a folklore horror series starring Jeetu Kamal, Solanki Roy and Paoli Dam, premiering November 6, 2026. Netflix says new hoichoi releases will arrive in the three dubbed languages alongside their Bengali debut rather than months later.

The two platforms will also co-produce original series adapting select hoichoi stories, with further details to be announced. That is a stated plan, not a confirmed slate, so there are no titles or dates to plan around yet.

    Why this matters for viewers

The practical change is language access. A hoichoi series that previously required Bengali comprehension now arrives in three of India’s most widely spoken languages on a service with far broader distribution in the country. For anyone comparing where to subscribe, that is a reason to check hoichoi’s catalogue against Netflix’s rather than treating them as separate worlds.

It is also worth being precise about the deal’s shape: it is not Netflix buying hoichoi, and it does not move hoichoi’s existing library wholesale onto Netflix. Fourteen titles are featured now, and future premieres are the recurring part of the arrangement.

    What we did not do

We did not watch any of the titles, and we did not verify regional availability outside India. Netflix says further details on the co-produced series will be announced later, and the November 6 date applies specifically to The Cursed Temple of Kauriburi, not to the other 13 titles.
