Gearbox released Borderlands 4 update 1.11 on October 22, 2026, on all platforms. On console it appears as update 1.110 or 01.110.000, and Gearbox warns it is a hefty download.
The patch covers gameplay bug fixes and improvements across the base game and the DLCs, plus Vault Hunter balance changes.
Story Pack 2 and mission fixes
The largest block of fixes targets Story Pack 2: FL4K and the Last Resort. Objectives that stopped progressing when enemies were killed ahead of time or areas were reached ahead of Mr. Chew are addressed, and missions now keep their current state after reloading into the map with a save or load. Doors unlock and elevator buttons become interactable when they are supposed to.
Boss behaviour is also corrected. A reported case of invincibility has been removed from Lieutenant Harmony in her second combat phase, she no longer dodges throwing knives, and her Blade Attack continues to harm you when you stand close to the edge. Lieutenant Bume now spawns during Tediore Digi-Rift World Events instead of Megan, and Drilla Killa no longer survives at 1HP.
Other fixes in the patch
Challenges that were not progressing properly have been updated, along with ECHOlocation guides and waypoints on various missions. Ducky’s combat no longer starts until you enter the arena, Dr. Elena Smith spawns immediately after reloading the map from UVHM, and Tediore Employees stay hostile.
Some fixes address presentation and challenge tracking rather than gameplay. Objects that defied gravity or clipped with scenery were moved, and spaced-out enemies near the Keeper’s Ear Fast Travel Station were repositioned.
What this does not do
Update 1.11 is a fix and balance patch, not new content. If you were waiting for the next story expansion or bounty pack, that is a separate release. Gearbox has previously said more bounty packs and a second story expansion were planned, so this patch is housekeeping between content drops.

What we did not do
We did not play the patched build or verify any individual fix in-game. Patch contents are summarised from Gearbox’s published update notes for October 22, 2026, and the exact wording of the changelog is the authoritative source.
